Red Riding Hood

Grade 5.

Objectives: 1.  Students will be able to retell the story.

                     2.  Students will be able to describe red riding hood and the wolf.

Procedure: 

Warm up: Activity 1. Ask students to give the names of folk tales they have heard before.

 Activity 2: Ask students to name the characters of the story (3m)

Activity 3: Show students a short animated cartoon about “Red Riding Hood”

Activity 4: Listen the story of “Red Riding Hood” (5m)

Activity 5: Give students printed sheets to draw lines and match the pictures    and    sentences.  (5m)

Activity 6: Give students text from “Red Riding Hood” with gaps to complete sentences.   (10m)

Activity 7: Roleplaying between the girl and the wolf .  (10m)

Assessment: Ask students to draw red riding hood and wolf.  (5m)

Ask students to describe red riding hood and wolf with the adjectives from the story.  (5m )
